Iván Castillo García is a senior Compliance executive with over 20 years of specialized experience in Financial Crime Prevention and Risk Management within the Fintech and Payment Services sector. He currently serves as Chief Compliance Officer at BRAC Saajan Exchange Limited, where he oversees the Governance, Risk, and Compliance programme for this FCA-authorized payment institution in the United Kingdom.

He holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management, and began his professional career as a trainee at Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds professional certifications including CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), ICA Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention from Manchester Business School, and is a certified Data Protection Officer. His track record includes the successful implementation of compliance programmes for companies managing over $2B USD in annual transactions, with extensive regulatory experience across European and South American jurisdictions. He has worked closely with regulators, including the FCA, SEPBLAC, ACPR, Banco de Portugal, Banca de Italia, and Latin American regulatory authorities, and contributed to enhancements of Spain’s Royal Decree 304/2014 on anti-money laundering prevention.

Previously, Iván served as Head of Global Compliance at Pay Retailers SL (2022-2025), leading compliance strategy across Latin American markets, and held the same position at BRAC Saajan Exchange Limited (2017-2021). He was also a founding partner of Franch Castillo Asesores SL (2004-2016), a consultancy firm specializing in compliance for authorized payment institutions across Spain and Europe.

Results-driven and focused on implementing technological solutions to automate processes and enhance operational efficiency, Iván combines regulatory expertise with an innovative approach to compliance. Beyond his professional commitments, he enjoys chess, cinema, theatre, opera, and reading.
