Abdus Salam; born in Bangladesh, had immigrated to England in 1978 to partake in studies invoking his ample passion for business. He initially began his business endeavour in 1993 through the founding of an Asian fashion retail store in the name of “Saajan”, in Birmingham. As a result of his visionary thoughts, Mr Salam founded Saajan Worldwide Money Transfer in 2003.

With over 23 years of business management history; he has great expansion plans and has a vision to enter several untapped remittance and other potential business opportunities across borders. Mr Salam has vast experience in retail, travel and tourism industry, catering and hospitality business but presently is more focused in the payment services. As an NRB and migrant himself, Mr Salam has always been in the effort to ensure that the hard-earned money of any NRB should get to the family members in the fastest, trustworthy and reliable way. That is why his major concentration was in the remittance market to provide the best solution for the NRBs. Now, his vision is to spread this fast, reliable service beyond the niche community boundary.

Mr Salam has been awarded with the “Prominent Business Leader of the Year 2017” by Desh Foundation UK at The 2nd British Bangladeshi Business Awards 2017 on May 14, 2017.
